Description

The 777687-17 NI SCXI-1317 Front Mounting Terminal Block is designed for use with quarter-bridge Strain Gage Input Modules, featuring 24 channels with shielded connections for precise signal detection. Despite its Obsolete Status, the SCXI-1317 is still available for purchase and repairs through Apex Waves.

The 777687-17 NI SCXI-1317 Front Mounting Terminal Block by National Instruments is designed for use with the SCXI-1521 and SCXI-1521B quarter-bridge Strain Gage Input Modules. With 24 channels, each quarter-bridge strain gage channel features three screw terminals: excitation+, analog in, and quarter-bridge. Shielded for precise signal connections, the SCXI-1317 is autodetectable through software. To operate, it requires the SCXI-1521 or SCXI-1521B module, an SCXI or PXI/SCXI combination chassis, and necessary cabling and quarter-bridge strain gauges. When connecting quarter-bridge signals with shielded transducers, users can link the shield to the GND on the SCXI-1317. To connect signals, users must follow a series of steps including unscrewing the top cover, stripping insulation, running signal wires through the strain-relief opening, and securely placing them into the terminal. Despite its Obsolete Status, the SCXI-1317 will still be available for purchase and repairs through Apex Waves.
