Description

779497-01 NI PCI-1588 is an IEEE 1588 Synchronization Module with TCXO, offering precise synchronization between events and clocks with other IEEE 1588-compatible devices. Equipped with an onboard FPGA and Ethernet port, this module can operate as a slave or master clock and can be seamlessly integrated into various measurement and control applications.

779497-01 NI PCI-1588, IEEE 1588 Synchronization Module with TCXO The National Instruments PCI-1588 (Part Number: 779497-01) is an IEEE 1588 compatible Synchronization Device. This device employs the IEEE 1588 2008 protocol to achieve synchronization between events and clocks with other IEEE 1588-compatible computers or instruments. The NI PCI 1588 can operate as either an IEEE 1588 slave or master clock module. An onboard FPGA incorporated in this device adjusts the phase and frequency of a built-in IEEE 1588 clock automatically. The device has an output frequency of DC to 1 MHz, a minimum pulse width of 36 ns, and requires 1 PCI slot for operation. This interface gets its clock synchronized with other IEEE 1588 based devices employing an integrated Ethernet port. With this synched timebase utilizing PFI (Programmable Function Interface) lines, the IEEE 1588 PCI Card can synchronize events with other non-1588 instruments, such as PLCs or traditional instruments via SMB connectors provided on the PCI bracket. For synchronizing this device with other PCI instruments installed in the same host machine, users can utilize the RTSI as well. The front panel of the NI PCI-1588 comes equipped with an RJ-45 Ethernet Connector, three PFI Connectors (PFI0, PFI1, and PFI2), one link LED, and one speed LED. The Link LED and the Speed LED are provided to indicate Ethernet link condition and speed respectively. Apart from synchronization over Ethernet and generation of clock and event signals, the PCI-1588 can also be considered for timestamping of incoming signals. The PFI terminals provided on this Synchronization Device can operate as timestamped inputs or future clock signal outputs. With this module, users can achieve sub-microsecond synchronization. The Ethernet port provided on the PCI-1588 auto-negotiates to end up with the best possible speed—10 or 100 Mbps. The NI device is run using the NI-Sync driver software which is compatible with application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Visual C/C++. The NI device measures 6.87 x 4.19 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C. PCI-1588 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.

Distribution Cache Shipping Info and Options

Shipping Carriers: Here at Distribution Cache we ship using UPS, FedEx, DHL, or TNT. In most cases we get very competitive rates based on our volume and will be happy quote shipping cost to your location upon request. We also know that many customers would prefer to ship collect on their own account numbers and welcome this option.

Shipping Blind: We recognize that many of our customers intend to re-sell the product to their end user. We respect our customer’s relationships with their clients and offer blind shipping as an option to ensure that the package arrives in the most clandestine way possible.

Shipping Process: We take pride in the way we package your order and spare no cost in making sure that it arrives safely at your facility. In the case of new parts, we are always sure to package the factory box inside another larger box for safe transit. For reconditioned parts we often use Distribution Cache customized packaging that is specially made to protect the products from the bumps and falls present during shipment.

Shipping Options:

Next Day Air Early AM - This service is the fastest overnight delivery option available. For most locations the package will be guaranteed by 8:30AM.

Next Day Air – This service guarantees delivery by 10:30AM and is the most frequently used option for overnight shipments.

Next Day Air Saver – This cost saving overnight alternative guarantees delivery by 3PM the next day.

2nd Day Air – For domestic shipments that would take 3-5 days if shipped via Ground, sometimes having the order in 2 days is a great way to go

Ground – Ground is the most inexpensive shipping option provided. Please ask if we are doing a “free domestic ground” shipping promotion on your order. We often provide free ground shipping on larger orders.

Emergency Courier – At times we can help work with a courier service to get the part to your facility during downtimes scenarios. We prefer that the customer sets up the courier but we can be there to make sure the product is handed off to the driver. Please give us a call to see if this is an option on your order.

Please Note: Products listed as “ships today” can ship same-day if an order is placed before 4PM. For larger drives and motors we ask that notification for same-day shipments be provided by 2PM at the latest. For any products listed as “ships in 3-5 days”, please give us a call to see if this can be expedited.
