Description

National Instruments 9144 8-slot Determistic Ethernet Chassis for C Series Modules Country of Origin Hungary

Part number 780438-01, the NI-9144 CompactRIO Chassis by National Instruments, is a versatile and high-performance system that can be seamlessly integrated with the LabVIEW FPGA Module, thanks to its 2M gate Xilinx Spartan FPGA. This allows for high-speed and customizable I/O timing, inline processing, and closed-loop control. The chassis features a scan mode that can be configured to quickly extend the user's real-time system. With the option of conformal coating with part number 780438-02, multiple NI 9144 Expansion Chassis can be daisy-chained from the master controller to expand time-critical applications and maximize processor resources for maintaining hard determinism. The chassis has 8 slots for I/O modules, which are automatically synchronized and can integrate multiple measurement types and channels. Operating the NI 9144 requires a variety of software installations in a specific order, and connection to a network via a NI master controller using a category 5 Ethernet cable. With a recommended power supply of 48W, 24VDC, and maximum power consumption of 20W, the NI 9144 is a reliable and robust solution for industrial applications. Despite being declared obsolete by National Instruments, the chassis will still be available for purchase and repairs through Apex Waves.
