The 196635F-11L NI 2816A is a reed Matrix Module designed for the SwitchBlock systems by National Instruments. This module, also known as the SWB-2816, simplifies wiring assembly and minimizes external inputs needed for altering internal connection routes within the system. With an 8x46 1-wire matrix configuration, the SWB-2816 requires only one slot within the SwitchBlock carrier module. One of its key features is its flexibility, offering three modes of operation. It can function as an independent single relay card, expandable up to 8 x 276 dimension in a single carrier, or as an expandable module in a single unit of the PXI chassis, providing a range up to 8 x 1104. The SWB-2816 Matrix Module can transfer signals from various electronic devices like digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and waveform generators. It can also be customized by combining multiple modules to create a tailored multi-card assembly unit. With a bandwidth exceeding 8 MHz, the SWB-2816 can support up to 100 VDC switching voltage and 0.25 A per channel switching current, with a carry current of up to 0.30 A per channel. The maximum switching power requirement is 3 W.
